TJA Consulting exists because most mid-market companies have a perfectly good strategy and a perfectly broken rhythm, and because the second problem quietly kills the first one quarter at a time.
Mid-market companies do not usually suffer from a lack of intent. The plan exists. The numbers are known. The team is working hard. What is missing is the operating rhythm that turns intent into a predictable weekly motion, the meetings that actually decide things, the cadence that catches drift before it becomes a quarter-end surprise, the cross-functional coordination that does not depend on two people getting along.
TJA was built to install that rhythm. Not by writing a deck and leaving, and not by running an off-site that everyone remembers fondly and applies sparingly. We come in for twelve to sixteen weeks, assess what the company is actually doing on its calendar, design a cadence the management team will own, and stay in the room while it is installed. When the rhythm is running on its own, we leave.
We are a small, senior consulting practice focused on a narrow problem: the operating rhythm of mid-market US firms under pressure. Every engagement is led by the partner who scopes it, there is no pitch-then-pass pattern.
Every engagement runs through the same four stages, Assess, Design, Install, Sustain. The Assess stage happens before any change is committed to, so the design is built on real observation rather than the executive team's self-report. The Design stage is a working session, not a deliverable hand-off. The Install stage is the longest, because the rhythm only sticks if we are in the room while it is being run for the first time. The Sustain stage is optional, light-touch, and exists to catch drift before it becomes a re-engagement.
We do not publish client names. We do not run case studies that compromise confidentiality. We do not put logos on the homepage. Most engagements come by referral, and a quiet practice serves the kind of work we do better than a noisy one would. If you are evaluating an engagement and want to speak to a previous client, we will arrange it directly, with their permission.
Service-area, US-wide. We are based in Arizona and deliver remote-first as the default, with in-person working sessions for the design workshop, the install kickoff and the first quarterly review. We do not maintain a walk-in office, every meeting is scheduled and held against an engagement.
Engagements are scoped, fixed-fee, and quoted after the assessment so the price reflects what is actually being installed. We do not bill hourly, we do not sell hours, and we do not propose against a deck we have not earned. The assessment fee is fixed; the install fee is fixed; the Sustain retainer is monthly and cancellable.
